Biography
Saurabh describes his childhood as happy. He spent his childhood with his mother, siblings & grand parents in his village in Uttar Pradesh. His father was working as a taxi driver in Mumbai. His sister was his best friend while growing up & they remain close till date. He was a kid who had stars in his eyes & had an innate sense of belief in himself. He knew that he would make it big & yearned to be famous. He took Science as a subject in junior college, but was inclined towards music. But he wasn’t sure of a career in music as the career prospects looked rather dim. Saurabh is the eldest kid among his siblings & had huge financial responsibilites. He realized that he had always had an artistic bent & was always facinated by clothes. That drove him towards the world of fashion. He decided to study fashion design & enrolled in a fashion institute in Mumbai – Juvenile Institute Of Fashion Design. Saurabh couldn’t afford the 4L-5L fees to join NIFT, Mumbai & chose to join the less expensive Juvenile Institute whose fees were 48,000/year. He stayed with his father while studying fashion. As money was an issue, he took up gigs to pay for his college fees. His first internship was as a fashion consultant at Lifestyle in the year 2019. He was paid a meagre INR 700/day. He spent all weekends at this gig to earn money. He found it difficult to fit in with the other interns & always felt like an outsider. He graduated without a job in hand & kept messaging designers hoping to land a gig. He finally landed a job In Jan’19 at Cherie D which paid him a measly INR 10,000/month. As luck would have it, COVID-19 struck in March’19 – just 2 months into his job & like the rest of the world he had to stay put in his home during the lockdown. He often quarelled with his father during the lockdown & went back to his village. He returned a few months later & rejoined Cherie D. Despite landing the job after a lot of hard work, he quit within a year as he found it difficult to fit in. Most of his colleagues came from affluent backgrounds who found nothing common with Saurabh who came from a rustic background from UP & never bothered to gel with him. When he was looking for a job again, he got a call from Manish Malhotra’s firm & was selected after the first round of interviews itself in the year 2022. It turned out to be a frutiful year with many happy moments. He learnt a lot working at the the firm, but quit after a year for the same reason – he found it difficult to fit in. It was a risky decision, but he did not have to pay for it dearly. He landed a job at Italian Export House soon after. He worked on huge brands like Gucci, Prada, Dior. His Italian boss saw a spark & was quite fond of him, but Saurabh yearned for more. A part of him kept telling him that he was destined for something bigger.
It was while working for Italian Export House that Saurabh started his social media journey. He informed his family about hid decision & they supported him in his decision. He started off by creating reels on Instagram. Sometime around this phase he was forced to movie to a 1RK chawl. The response to his reels initially was okay. But his ‘One Snake In Every Office’ reel went viral & he started playing characters in his reels. He made no money but he started enjoying the process of creating content & the love of his followers. He had 80,000 followers during this phase in late 2024. His fame cost him job – his contract stated that he wasn’t allowed to interact with the media & they asked him to either shut his Instagram page or quit. He decided to quit & serve a three month notice period. The loss of job was coupled with a huge heartbreak. He broke with his beau of five years & it affected his work. But he channeled his energies towards content creation . He gave content creation all his time & worked on this venture with a vengeance. He knew that he had to make it within two months or quit his dream. Lady luck sided with him this time & he became a social media celebrity. He racked up 500,000+ followers by June’2025 & 1million+ followers by November’2025. But he wasn’t monetizing his huge following to the optimal levelsIt was then that Astuti Anand(@Astuti_mw) got in touch with for a paid collab & taught him the tricks of the social media influencer game. Thanks to her guidance, Saurabh started sharing his content on YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat as well. He has signed with an agency, which manages his work & has worked with some top notch brands – Nivea, Dot & Key, Clinic Plus, Fevikwik & many more. After immense hard work Saurabh feels like he is living a dream & is overwhelmed with all the love. His life has changed & how! He has gone from being the outsider who could never fit in to the ultimate insider of the social media creator universe. Friends & family who mocked his reels now brag about knowing him. His relatives back in small town UP, who asked his family to “Stop him” from creating reels are now falling over each other to please him. Nothing succeeds like success!
