Netflix’s Musafir Cafe, starring Vikrant Massey as Chander, Vedika Pinto as Sudha, and Mahima Makwana as Preeti, doesn’t tie up with a definite romantic resolution, leaving the audience on an emotional cliffhanger. The 8-episode series takes us into Chander and Sudha’s past relationship and their present-day life with Preeti. What happens next is left to the imagination.
What Is Musafir Cafe About?
In the series, we are introduced to Chander, which sees his life transforms upon meeting Sudha. They have a very passionate relationship which, in the end, breaks down as it is based on very different views of what they want out of life and the future.
In the years that pass, the story shows Chander building a new life in the hills, which he shares with Preeti, his live-in partner. While with Preeti, he finds stability and love, his past with Sudha is an issue that still haunts him.
The series presents two timelines which display how Chander’s choices and heartbreaks shape the man he becomes.
What happens in the end of Musafir Cafe?
In the end, as the series comes to a close, Sudha reappears in Chander’s life after many years. Her return brings up memories and past feelings in him, which he tried to put behind him.
At the same time, Chander and Preeti’s relationship is heading in a more serious direction. We see an engagement ring play a big role in the end. But the ring doesn’t0.25 represent a definite yes from Chander to marriage with Preeti. In fact, it brings out his indecision to take that step.
Chander and Sudha, who were unavailable for so long, finally have a chance out of the blue to talk about the past issues that were left untended. At their meeting, which was unexpected, they see that although they have all grown and moved on in life, their past still casts a large shadow.

At the end of Musafir Cafe, we see that it is not in the cards to choose just one person. Also at issue is the issue of totally moving on.
Chander has put in years of work into his new life, but Sudha’s return brings to light that some issues do not go away over time. Preeti, on the other hand, is who Chander has in the present, instead of Preeta being a replacement for his past relationship.
The café is that sort of place. People come in, spend some time there and then go on their way. With Chander’s life, we also see the same thing. As he thinks he has found his place, his past catches up with him.
Will There Be a Season 2?
The series ends open, which leaves the door open for a second season, especially as we never see Chander’s final choice. Also, the unresolved finale does not put to rest the issue of a second season.
