Guess Who: Studio Asks Theatre Owners To Hike Ticket Prices

This studio is asking theatre owners to hike ticket prices by 40%. Can you guess the studio & celebs Mumbai Mirror is talking about?

Mumbai Mirror has published a blind item about a bollywood studio has asked theatre owners to hike ticket prices by 40%.

The studio’s last release was a disaster. They lost big monies on that movie which boasted of an ensemble cast. It makes smart business sense to capitalize on the hype surrounding their upcoming release. The movie stars a greek god superstar & an action star who has several box office hits to his name. Both are good in action & dance. While the greek god has aced every department of acting, the junior among the two is yet to taste success in genres barring action. The director too has a patchy track record. Apart from his debut film, none of his other films were clean hits. His last release starring the greek god did well, but fell short of expectations. We won’t be hoping for too much from the upcoming release.

Last heard a hollywood movie – a highly anticipated one too will release on the same date. All hopes of having a solo release have been dashed. We do hope our bollywood movie does well though!

Blind Item

THIS old Bollywood studio is up to its old tricks yet again. For its upcoming action thriller starring two heroes, it has asked theatre-owners to hike the ticket prices from 22 per cent to 40 per cent. Those who won’t follow the diktat will not get to release the film at all. While most (fearing isolation) have agreed, some have dug in their heels and decided to give maximum shows to a South Indian historical drama. The last time this studio had compelled theatre-owners to jack up the ticket prices, their festival release fizzled out even before the weekend was over.
