In the early 1990s, Anu started her acting career as a child artist before appearing in two movies named "Chapala Chennigaraya" (1990) and "Shanti Kranti" (1991). Her leading debut in cinema began in 1999 in "Hrudaya Hrudaya" alongside Shiva Rajkumar, and this established her position as a significant star in Kannada film history.
