Early Life and History
Tejinder Singh Maan, who is popularly known as Babbu Maan, was born on March 29, 1975, in Khant Maanpur village of Fatehgarh Sahib district, Punjab, India. Affectionately called Khantwala Maan; he developed his passion for music early in his life and was on stage for the first time when he performed at a school function at just seven years.His father, late Babu Singh Maan, and mother, late Kulbir Kaur, supported his passion. He was educated at a government school located in the village and then pursued Music Honors at Punjab University, Chandigarh.

Babbu Maan made his musical entry in the year 1998 with the album "Sajjan Rumal De Geya." As it turned out, this debut album wasn't quite the expected debut and returned with refining things with "Tu Meri Miss India" in 1999, which went on to gain tremendous success.His third album, "Saaun Di Jhadi" (2001), proved to be a blockbuster success, selling more than 10 million copies both within India and in other countries.Babbu Maan is one of the rare artists who write their own lyrics, compose their own music, and deliver it with unmatched passion.
