Athar Aamir Khan, the accomplished IAS officer, hails from a humble village in South Kashmir's Anantnag district. At the age of just 29, he had already displayed remarkable academic prowess. Athar ventured into the world of competitive exams by appearing in various engineering entrance examinations and acing most of them. His determination led him to pursue a Bachelor of Engineering degree, which he successfully completed at IIT-Mandi, specializing in Electrical Engineering. Interestingly, before his IIT journey, he briefly embarked on a stint in a medical college, showcasing his versatile interests.

Aspiration to Join the IAS

Athar Aamir Khan's journey towards the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) began when he came across Shah Faisal, the topper of the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Inspired by this encounter, Athar decided to try his luck in the prestigious IAS exam. In 2014, he achieved a respectable rank of 560 in the UPSC exam, but he wasn't entirely content with his ranking or the post offered to him. Driven by his unwavering determination, he attempted the exam once more in 2015, and remarkably, he cleared this arduous civil services exam for the second consecutive time, securing a ranking of 1018.

Family Background
 Athar Aamir Khan belongs to a Sunni Muslim family in Anantnag, Kashmir. His father is a teacher, and his mother is a homemaker. Athar is the eldest among his siblings and has a younger brother and two younger sisters.

Marriage and Divorce

Athar Aamir's personal life also made headlines. He found love within the IAS community, as he tied the knot with fellow IAS officer Tina Dabi. Tina had secured the first rank in the UPSC 2015 exam, placing her above Athar. Their first meeting occurred in 2015 at the IAS felicitation ceremony held at the DOPT office in Delhi. After both of them cracked the UPSC exam in 2016, Athar and Tina got married. Their union commenced with a court marriage on 20 March 2018, followed by religious marriage rituals on 7 April 2018.

However, after two years of marriage, the IAS power couple filed for divorce by mutual consent in a Jaipur family court in November 2020, bringing a chapter of their lives to a close.

 

Athar Aamir Khan, entered into a second marriage in October. He found love once more, this time with Dr. Mehreen Qazi. Their journey as a couple began with a proposal on July 2, 2022,
