Born on 14 May 1997 in Rohtak, Haryana, to a community of doctors, Manushi Chhillar headed national CBSE examinations in English and earned a NEET qualification. She pursued MBBS at Bhagat Phool Singh Medical College, juggling studies with a life-long interest in dance and social causes.

Pageantry Breakthrough

In 2017, after winning Femina Miss India, Manushi made history at Miss World by clinching the Beauty with a Purpose award for her ‘Project Shakti’ menstrual hygiene initiative. She became the sixth Indian Miss World, ending a 17-year title drought and spotlighting her advocacy on global stages.

Philanthropic Impact

Her philanthropic work resulted in Haryana subsidizing sanitary pads for government school girls, with outreach to South African villages. She and the Miss World organization also helped disabled children in the British Virgin Islands—demonstrating her dedication to public health, education, and women's hygiene.
