Nikhil Maliyakkal was born on the 28th of June in Mysore, Karnataka. From a young age, he has been surrounded by creative talent. His father is the journalist Shashi Alwin, and his mother, A. Sulekha Maliyakkal, is an actress, writer, and designer. Also in the family is his younger brother Dishank.

Education & Early Career

He grew up at Baden Powell Public School in Mysore and went on to get a Diploma in Architecture from Acharya Institute of Technology in Bangalore. Also attended St. Joseph’s College of Education in Mysore. Before joining the entertainment industry, Nikhil was a business development executive in an ad agency. At the same time, he was part of many theatre productions, which in turn gave him a base in acting.

Acting Journey & Serials

He made it to the screen with the release of the movie Ooty in 2016. Two years later, he got into television with the series Maneye Mantralay, in which he played the character of Jeevan. The game changer came in 2019 when he dialed Telugu TV show Gorintaku, which was also a breakout role for him, in which he played Parth, a role that also got him awards.

Over the years, Nikhil has been a part of many Telugu serials like Ammaku Teliyani Koilamma, Kalasi Unte Kaladu Sukham, Anupallavi, Sravanthi, and Oorvashivo Rakshasivo. Also, he has appeared in reality entertainment shows like Kiraak Boys Khiladi Girls.

Nagarjuna was the host. He had a very calm demeanor, which played to his game and which, in turn, connected him with the audience. He reached the final and won the title. Along with thetrophyy he also took home a cash prize of 55 lakh and a Maruti Suzuki Dzire car.

Personal Life

Before entering the Bigg Boss, Nkhil broke off an almost five-year relationship with co-star Kavya Shree, which he went on to discuss in detail during the show. Also, though he was dealing with personal issues, he did not let that get in the way of his career, which earned him praise from audiences in the Telugu and Kannada markets.
