Preity Mukhundhan was born on July 30, 2001, in Tiruchirappalli (Trichy), Tamil Nadu, and hails from a supportive Tamil family. Preity developed an interest in acting, modelling, and dancing from an early age and participated in various cultural functions and performances at school.
Intelligent, she completed her schooling in Trichy and chose to pursue a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from India’s most prominent National Institute of Technology (NIT) Tiruchirappalli.
Acting Career
Preity made her acting debut in 2024 with the Telugu horror-comedy Om Bheem Bush, in which she portrayed Jalaja. Her confident screen presence and expressive performance received positive feedback from both audiences and critics. The film later premiered on Amazon Prime Video, introducing her to a wider audience.
The same year, she entered the Tamil film industry with Star, a coming-of-age romantic drama in which she played Meera Malarkodi. Despite the dislikes, Preity has instead been appreciated for her role and support for the actor’s career.
With her popularity growing, she now has several interesting projects in her hands, such as the movie Retail Heroine in which she will be playing the character of Nemali.
