A left-wing party was in power for decades together. But a right-wing party has been running the country for ten straight years & will be in power for five more years. This has led to a tectonic shift in Bollywood's attitude. Several celebrities are canoodling with the right-wing party bigwigs. A prominent family's visit to the Prime Minister's residence has set tongues wagging. Many of the family members were once vocal opponents of the ruling party. As per a source, this new dynamic is not surprising. Bollywood celebs go wherever the money goes. Most of them share great equations with both the prominent parties. They will be seen supporting whichever party is in power. Their ideology is secondary & their career/ wealth is the primary focus. As many industrialists close to the ruling party are studio bosses themselves, it makes shrewd business sense to be seen as someone who is close to the powers that be. Celebs who support a particular party when they are not in power are the true supporters. The ones who speak out against a particular party when they are not in power & are seen hobnobbing with them when they are in power are nothing but posers.

Two other celeb families who were once critics of the right-wing party too have turned into supporters. Two supporters from minority religions too are seen at all major events organised by the ruling party. The ruling party is rumored to have pulled strings for them when the superstars were in trouble.
