All of Bollywood was closely following the feud between an A-list star & a studio boss – filmmaker – actor. It was reported that another A-list star was mediating between them. As per sources, the rumors are false. The A-list star was once associated with an underworld figure which gave him clout. But with the shadow of the underworld no longer holding sway in Bollywood, the superstar’s word doesn’t carry the same amount of weight. The star & another A-lister were the first forum Bollywood approached before escalating matters right up to the underworld. As far as the studio feuding with the A-list star who is fresh off a blockbuster, the studio is in a bad shape financially. Except a few hit web series, their movies have been big flops & the studio has been bleeding. Many workers have been unpaid. It is probably their way of gettting some much needed cash. The filmmaker did not give the actor a bound script. The actor kept asking for one till the day before the shoot was supposed to commence, but he never got one.
The ban verdict came as a shocker the industry & fans alike. Most fans complained that the verdict was too harsh. It is not uncommon for top stars to quit projects at the last minute. Filmmakers sacking stars just before a film’s shoot is also not uncommon. The star’s PR went all guns blazing on social media, which forced the film body to clarify that its not a ban. Last heard, the star’s upcoming movie shoot will go as planned. Film workers from Mumbai may bear the brunt as the shoot might shift to South India.
