Bollywood Blind Item: This Star Kid Is Suffering From Depression
Everybody dreams of having a rocking career in Bollywood. If some netizens are to be believed, being a star kid means that you are assured a debut movie & tons of movie offers till the audiences are fed up with you. While this notion is not entirely false, it is not entirely true either. As per a source, a star kid is suffering from depression as none of the industry's filmmakers are showing any interest in launching her. She was signed up by a top filmmaker who is pejoratively labeled the godfather of nepotism, but the project got canned. There was another movie in the works with the same filmmaker for his studio, that too did not see the light of the day. The filmmaker-producer developed cold feet over the movie's budget. His production house has been facing financial issues & he has been wondering whether spending crores on a movie featuring newbies is worth it. To add insult to injury kids of other celebs with whom her parents hobnob with have a steady stream of acting projects & sponsors. She is either plain unlucky or she is really really lacks talent. Unless you seriously lack acting chops Bollywood always gives you a debut movie if you are a star kid. She did pass the auditions but we wonder why she is not getting her debut project.
The actress was going through the grind - acting classes, dance classes, etc. The posters of her debut project looked decent. She was to debut opposite two other male newcomers. Both the other male newcomers (both are outsiders) have made their acting debut, but the star kid has had to wait for her debut project. Sadly, her father is not a big name in the industry. Her uncles are powerful, but their kids themselves have been struggling. Another star kid whose father too wasn't a big name has been luckier. She debuted when the "godfather of nepotism" had money to produce her launch vehicle.
