As per a source, the director had approached a top South Indian superstar to star in the movie. But the South Indian superstar refused the movie as it was a two-hero project. After the stupendous nationwide success of his last movie, the superstar was in no mood to share screen space with anyone else. That's when the director approached the two Bollywood superstars. Both the Bollywood superstars badly need a hit. Their rivals are surging past them. Coincidentally, both of them had the upper hand against their rivals before 2023. But the last year saw a reversal of their fortunes. A movie with this South Indian director might be exactly what their career needs right now.
