South Blind Items: Superstar & Director Are At Loggerheads

Audiences across the country loved this South Indian movie which had a pan-India release during the pandemic. Citizens & politicians alike went berserk over the movie's OTT dialogues. The hero of the South Indian movie became a known face nationwide. It's sequel has been in the making & is eagerly awaited by fans. It's songs are already popular among the masses. It is a foregone conclusion that the movie will break several box office records upon release. But all is not well. The film has been running behind schedule. The hero of the movie wanted three units to wrap up shooting for the movie but the director refused. The hero got annoyed with his demand not being met & trimmed his trademark beard. He then left with his family for a vacation. This irked the director as it led to continuity issues. The director then proceeded to vacation in the US for a few days. The movie's producers are disturbed by the recent happenings on the movie sets.

Creative differences on set are not uncommon. We have earlier written about superstars sidelining the filmmakers & ghost directing their movies. But actors can't pull such stunts when the director too is a big name. Like in the case of the movie in question, the director too has a great track record at the box office. The superstar actor & director both know the movie can work wonders for their careers. South Indian film industry has been churning out several pan-Indian blockbusters & they don't want to be left behind. We won't be surprised if they decide to collaborate again if the sequel succeeds in a big way.
