The Ashes have been a real encounter to enjoy for the people who are test cricket enthusiasts. We have seen a ton of amazing moments in the great rivalry, from Andrew Flintoff’s fiery spell in the Ashes 2005 to Ben Stokes’s mind-boggling captaincy in the Ashes 2023, but the most memorable moment has to be the battle between Warney and Broad.

Stuart Broad coming around the wicket to left-handed David Warner and getting him out is just a treat to watch, and we are going to see this contest for the last time as England’s great fast bowler Stuart Broad has decided to take retirement from international cricket.

In the last match of the Ashes 2023, at the end of day three, England’s great bowler said that he was done with his duties now. On the fifth day of the final test, we will see the hustle between the two greats for one last time. Broad has been a threat for the Australian opener for the last few years, as he has picked him 17 times in test cricket.

The new ball bowler jumped into international cricket vs Pakistan at Sophia Gardens on August 30, 2006; later, he handed his T20I debut in the same year, but he came to test cricket vs Sri Lanka at Sinhalese Sports Club on December 9, 2007, and the rest is history. In the 2007 T20 World Cup, Yuvraj Singh struck him for six sixes, and since then he has not looked back.

The 37-year-old has represented England in 344 matches (Test: 167, ODI: 121, and T20I: 56) and has 845 wickets to his name, but he is a master in red-ball cricket, where he broke so many bowling records. Recently, in the Ashes, he became the second fast bowler to take the most wickets in the format and also became the leading wicket-taker in the history of the Ashes for England.
