According to IANS, Prashanth Neel, director of the blockbuster films KGF Chapter 1 and 2, plans to cast Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan in his film with Jr NTR. According to the sources, the film will be a major pan-India release.

Prashanth Neel and Jr NTR have already announced their collaboration, which will be titled NTR31. Aamir is being considered for the role opposite the RRR star. The project is expected to be completed within the next year.

Prashanth is currently working on the Prabhas-starrer Salaar, which is set to hit theatres on September 28 of next year. According to sources, he is now working on the film's post-production.

In terms of Aamir's involvement with Jr NTR, the Laal Singh Chaddha actor attended the RRR pre-release promotions in Delhi alongside him, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, and the maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli. During the event, the Bollywood superstar even learned the hook step to the popular song Naacho Naacho from Ram Charan and Jr. NTR.

During their conversation, Aamir asked the team several questions, including one about Rajamouli's secret to connecting with so many people across the country through his pan-India films. Rajamouli responded to Aamir by saying that the first film accepted across India was the latter's own Lagaan, which was nominated for Best International Feature Film at the 2001 Academy Awards.

Returning to Jr NTR's film with Prashanth Neel, the director has stated that the idea for the film came to him 20 years ago, but its magnitude and scale prevented him from making it. The film was officially announced by the actor earlier this year on his 39th birthday, May 20.
