He was featured in a titular role in these movies. His movie Golmaal was released on 14 July 2006. In this film, Sharman Joshi played the role of Laxman Prasad Sharma, who acts as the fake Sameer's body. It Was one of the hit movies.3 idiots was released in 2009. This film stars Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan also along Sharman Joshi in the titular roles, marking their reunion 3 years after Rang De Basanti (2006), Sharman Joshi as Raju Rastogi.
But now, he almost loses his character. He hasn't been in a movie since the first in the Golmaal franchise, despite it being one of the most popular ones in Hindi films in the decade and a half since the release of the first instalment. In Golmaal Returns, Shreyas Talpade took his spot, and Sharman hasn't returned to the series despite other actors doing so.
Sharman gave the following explanation in a recent interview with Pinkvilla when asked why he left Golmaal: "Some management concerns. My management was not very good at communicating. Of course, the deciding factor was money. The producers were uncomfortable with the price they were requesting. I was unaware that this was happening. I approached them once I had some knowledge of them.
If memory serves, Sharman Joshi and Rohit Shetty recently collaborated on an advertisement. The actor then asked the director whether he might be cast in Golmaal 5, to which the director responded, "Yeah yeah."
It was left at an unclear yes, that's where it was. I'm happy to be a part of it, but I'm not sure if I will participate," Sharman Joshi said.
He is also not so active on social media. He posted last on November 9. Which was about a partnership post on papers.So now everyone had to wait for the Golmaal movie.
