Top 5 Kannada actors with the largest fan base in the world in 2022 

The Kannada film industry is home to a plethora of talented actors who have a large fan base. While a few stars are already working on pan-India films, others are on a mission to reach out to audiences who speak other languages. Now, we present the top five Sandalwood stars with the most fans.

1•Yash

Yash has now been added to the list of Tamil actors.

After rising to prominence with the 2008 film Rocky, Yash went on to play the lead in films such as Google, where he wowed the Kannada audience with his performance. With the release of KGF Chapter 1 in 2018, Yash has gained national acclaim. Yash will next be seen as the lead in the highly anticipated KGF Chapter 2, which is set to hit theatres this year.

2. Sudeep Kiccha

Sudeep has been playing key roles in other languages for the past decade despite being one of Kannada's leading stars. Aside from Kannada, he has a sizable following in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. Sudeep is preparing to release Vikranth Rona, his next pan-India project, later this year.

3•Darshan

Darshan has a popular image among Kannada audiences and is frequently cast in challenging roles. He is gradually establishing his presence in other languages such as Telugu and Tamil by dubbing his films such as Robert. Darshan is a Kannada film actor and producer who is well-known for his work in the Kannada film industry. Thoogudeepa Srinivas, an actor, is his father. 4•Upendra

He is a well-known name not only among Kannada speakers but also among Telugu and Tamil speakers. In addition to dubbing his films in other languages, Upendra has played key roles in other languages. He will next be seen in Varun Tej's upcoming sports drama Ghani, in which he will play a key role. He began his career as a Kannada film composer, writing dialogue and lyrics for the soundtrack. He then made his debut as a director with Tharle Nan Maga in 1992. He has directed 10 films and acted in over 60 films during his 25-year career.

5•Puneeth Rajkumar is number five.

Puneeth has a large fan base in Sandalwood because he is the younger son of legendary Kannada actor Rajkumar. Puneeth is well-known for his work in message-driven social films, in addition to carrying Rajkumar's legacy. Puneeth Rajkumar is a well-known face among other film industry audiences,

Puneeth, 46, died on his way to the hospital on October 29, 2021, after complaining of stomach pains to his wife Ashwini. His death was ruled to have been caused by cardiac arrest. He donated his eyes by his father Rajkumar's pledge that he and all members of his family would donate their eyes after death. Through the gift of his eyes, four people have gained sight. Karnataka's Chief Minister, Basavaraj Bommai, and other leaders attended his state funeral. His body was displayed to the public for three days at Kanteerava stadium, where more than 25 lakh people reportedly attended. He was laid to rest alongside his parents at Sree Kanteerava Studios in Bangalore.
