Akshay Kumar recently attended a press conference for the unveiling of his new movie's Instagram filter, where he got into a candid conversation with the journalists. When he was asked to share his opinion regarding the fact that Tollywood movies work way better than the Bollywood ones, Akshay said that he does not agree with this at all, and gave an example of Gangubai Kathiawadi which was released recently and has been doing amazing at the box office since its release.
When asked whether he agrees with the perception that Bollywood makes more content-oriented movies while Tollywood makes ones that are massier, Akshay said, "Aisa nahi hai. Yaha content bhi chalta hai, massy bhi chalta hai. Massy ke andaar content daalo toh air sone pe suhaga wali baat hoti hai." Apart from this, Akshay also added that we all must pray that every movie does well. The theatres must always be filled to full capacity and every movie should work. Akshay Kumar strongly believes that one must not waste time analyzing which film must work and which film must not. Instead, one must always hope that every movie works. He also talked about the losses faced by the industry when it was shut down for almost 2.5 years due to the pandemic.
