Adipurush Box Office & Why Bollywood Should Take Big Risks

Adipurush was one of the biggest and most awaited films of Bollywood. It stars Kriti Sanon as Janki, Prabhas as Raghav and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh. It is made on a budget of about 600 crores and it has made around 240 crores till date already. The film has got a lot of negative reviews as people have got offended with their change in the Ramayana and majorly the dialogues of the movie. Have you watched the film yet? 

It seems like Bollywood has been sticking to formulaic movies. The box office collection of Adipurush is proof that big budget movies are not as risky as perceived. If not the story the VFX calls the audiences and makes the film work. 

After receiving so much of critisim and negative reviews the dialogue writer of the film, Manoj Muntashir was seen saying that they have not remade the Ramayan but they were just inspired by it. Do you believe it the statement? 

People are hurt by the dialogues of Hanuman in the film and the looks and actions of Lankesh. As per the reviews, the film has degraded the ultimate Ramayana. Well, at some places, Prabhas fans had hit people who called Adipurush a bad film whereas some people are saying that Prabhas just couldn't get the emotion out. Kriti was at her best and we would see the Janki in her. Saif Ali Khan's character sought to be total mess as fans have termed it as 'Chapri Ravaan'. 

What are your views on the film? Do you think Bollywood is right on being formulaic and not thinking about the sentiments of the people?
