Alia Bhatt Hosting Her First Hope Gala In London!!!

In order to benefit a Mumbai-based NGO, Alia Bhatt will hold her first Hope Gala in London.

Alia Bhatt, an actor, producer, and businesswoman, will present her inaugural Hope Gala in London. According to a person close to her team, Alia will hold the event at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in London on March 28 in collaboration with the Mandarin Oriental hotel group.

This is in aid of Salaam Bombay, Alia's selected charity, which works to engage the most vulnerable "at-risk children'' in Mumbai through after-school academies (skill development) and in-school programmes (leadership and advocacy) that boost the children's self-esteem and confidence while also encouraging them to stay in school. It is said that wealthy business people and philanthropists from London and India will be present at the dinner.

Alia recently concluded filming for "Jigra," alongside Vedang Raina, under the direction of Vasan Bala. Taking to Instagram a few days ago, she shared candid snapshots from the film's sets with Vedang, announcing the wrap of filming. Fans can anticipate the theatrical release of "Jigra" in September 2024.

Helmed by Vasan Bala, "Jigra" marks the collaborative effort of Alia and Karan Johar as co-producers. This project sees Vasan, known for his directorial ventures like "Peddlers," "Monica O My Darling," and "Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota," teaming up with Alia for the first time on-screen.

The film's premise, as hinted in the trailer, revolves around the unwavering bond between a sister and her brother, with the sister portrayed by Alia, who is depicted as fiercely protective and willing to go to any lengths to ensure her brother's safety. The unveiling of "Jigra" in September of the preceding year sparked excitement among fans, who eagerly await the opportunity to witness this promising collaboration unfold on the big screen.

According to reports, Alia will also star with Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif in filmmaker Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zaraa, which is slated to be another story of friendship following in the footsteps of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Dil Chahta Hai. However, filming has not yet begun on the project.
