Barrister Babu is a Hindi serial on Colors Tv which begin in 2020 and ran till 2021. It stared Pravisht Mishra, Anchal Sahu, and Aurra Bhatnagar Badoni and was produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions.
The serial shows a story from rural Bengal before independence. It begin with a young boy, Anirudh Roy Choudhary, returning from London to Tulsipur after completing his law to abolish the conventional and cutural beliefs where women were restricted from progressing. His childhood friend, Saudamini is all ready to marry him. Then comes in Bondita Das, a 11 years old girl, who lives with her widowed mother and paternal uncle and aunt and her cousin Sampoorna. Bondita was to marry an old man and Sampoorna was to marry Anirudh’s friend Sundaram. Anirudh revolts on the marriage of such a young girl. And to make her a future he ends up marrying her.
