Chattis Aur Maina: A Short Love Story on Disney+ Hotstar Quix
Disney+ Hotstar launched Quix, a section for short-format shows, with 11 mini web series lined up. Chattis Aur Maina was one of them, and it began streaming on 7 May 2021. It’s a Hindi romance with a dash of drama, and it runs as a single season.
What’s the Story About?
Maina is not someone who waits around for life to happen. She’s been paying her own way since she was 18, she’s serious about her career, and she can be pretty stubborn about how she lives. She’s a bit quirky too. She also has a soft side when it comes to her friends, a group of dancers she looks out for like family.
Chattis is the guy who enters her very organised, very independent world. The series is built around that meeting and what it does to a woman who thought she had everything figured out. Don’t expect a big plot with twists here. It’s about two people and the friction and warmth between them.

Sandeepa Dhar plays Maina, and Vikram Singh Chauhan plays Chattis. The supporting cast includes Amika Shail, Seema Pandey, Ashu Sharma, Deepak Qazir Kejriwal, Ankit Rathi, Yash Bhatia and Zoya Khan.
Sandeepa Dhar has worked on other projects too, including Kaagaz and Bisaat: Khel Shatranj Ka, so she’s not new to audiences.

Shraddha Pasi directed the series. The story comes from Aashutosh Chaturvedi and Pankaj Machvi.
