During Shahid Kapoor's appearance on Season 4 of Koffee With Karan, alongside Sonakshi Sinha, he expressed his nostalgia for the couch. Karan Johar pointed out that it was the first time Shahid had appeared on the show without a girlfriend. Shahid expressed his relief at this statement. Karan proceeded to mention the names of Shahid's former girlfriends, Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Shahid attempted to dodge the question by claiming that he has a terrible memory and often forgets what happened the previous day. However, Karan directly asked him if he had erased Priyanka and Kareena from his memories. Although the actor initially joked that it was not possible, he quickly composed himself and acknowledged that both women were significant figures in the public eye. He stated that while they could not be erased from his memory, he had many unpleasant memories as well. Shahid also acknowledged that most things from the past are often forgotten.
