Following the internet viralization of a video from her Cannes red carpet appearance, Bollywood actress Kiara Advani has found herself in the focus of controversy. The actress returned with another breathtaking look, embracing old Hollywood glamour with a black lace gloves and an off-the-shoulder pink gown with a dramatic bow.

She accessorised her ensemble with a striking ring and an elaborate neckpiece, wearing her hair up in a high bun. Advani was one of the six women who received awards at the dinner on Saturday on the fringes of the present Cannes Film Festival in France, which was organised by Vanity Fair Europe and the Red Sea International Film Festival.The actress expressed her delight about attending the event while walking the red carpet. She started out by saying, "It's very humbling," acknowledging her honour in receiving the prize.

"It also comes at a very significant time because it will mark ten years in my profession. "I'm incredibly honoured to be receiving this honour from the Red Sea Foundation for Women in Cinema and to be here at Cannes for the first time," she remarked. But it was Advani's thick English accent that provoked a backlash on the internet. Many expressed their displeasure on social media, accusing the actress of having an ostentatious accent while making an appearance on the red carpet.

One of the many well-known events of the Cannes Film Festival, which draws world-class talent every year, is the Women In Cinema Gala. Diversity and the representation of women in the business have received a lot of attention during this year's festival.
