This south based Pan-Indian megastar charges a hefty fee for every movie he acts in. If sources are to be believed, he is a very simple man. His drinking buddies at the time when he was a bus conductor are his drinking buddies even now. He drinks with them at the same bar, they used to drink back then. He even sits on the same chair/stool that he used to during his days as a poor bus conductor. His brand of cigarettes also are rumored to be inexpensive.
While the megastar continues to live a simple life, his family has been reckless financially. His wife became a guarantor for a loan which backfired & he then had to shell out several crores to bail her out. she is also heavily into philanthropy. His daughter made an expensive animated film, which turned out to be a disaster. This forced him to come out of his semi-retirement & start acting in 1-2 projects every year instead of a single project every 4 years.
He has started his own political outfit as well. This too requires a lot of money. He will needs lots of money when his state goes to polls next year.
