Srikanth movie, which is directed by Tushar Hiranandani, is a inspirational and motivational movie about a young man who decided to go against all odds and face the challenges, but did not allowed disability to stand in the way of his dreams.
Who is Srikanth Bolla?
Early Life
As a concern to his parents and family members, Srikanth was born disabled in Seetharampuram, Andhra Pradesh. People told his parents to give up on him, but his mother was determined about her son. His father, due to society’s pressure, went on to bury him alive. Srikanth faced many difficulties in school, he felt alone, and was remorseful about not having had a normal upbringing like his fellow students.
School Life
As recommended by the relatives his father enrolled him in a school for impaired kids in Hyderabad. But soon it became difficult for him to do everyday chores as he was living alone in the hostel. When he became head boy, Srikanth put pressure on the administration of the school to improve basic amenities.
College Life
Due to his disability, Srikanth had to overcome many difficulties and challenges in his day to day life. But things got ugly when despite his academic skills, he was not allowed to pursue science in class XI and instead asked him to pursue his career towards the arts. As depicted in the movie, he was sent back from IIT coaching centres and was not even allowed to sit in the exam. Hence, it forced him to apply in universities abroad, where there were more opportunities for those like him. Thankfully, he received a full scholarship from Haldiram to study abroad. He went to the USA for higher studies, after completion he had the opportunity to remain in the United States and work, but Srikanth choose to return to his motherland India and create something for people like him.
Then he established Bollant Industries, an environmentally conscious packaging company and it gives opportunity to the disabled people to work and earn and live a normal life like others.
Later in Life
Later, Srikanth collaborated with Ravi Mantha, and he also had the steadfast support of his wife Swathi. In the movie, Devika is a portrayal of his professors, who encouraged him to pursue his dreams and believed in him, and looked at him not any differently. It might be unclear whether Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam really invested the Rs. 25 lakh as shown in the movie, but Srikanth did meet Abdul Kalam and later he also became the youth leader of the Lead India initiative. The movie also shows Ratan Tata making a good amount of investment in Srikanth's business, which helped it grow.

After crossing several hurdles and struggles in his life, Srikanth Bolla is still the owner and operator of Bollant Industries which is situated in Hyderabad.
The film is currently streaming on Netflix and the other cast of the movie are Jyothika, Alaya F, and Sharad Kelkar. The movie is directed by Tushar Hiranandani. And the main role of Srikanth is played by Rajkummar Rao.
