Kantara’s director and producer obliged before the investigating officer after the Supreme Court granted anticipatory bail.
Hit Kannada movie Kantara’s director and actor Rishabh Shetty and producer Vijay Kirgandur Ahad appeared before Kozhikode Deputy Commissioner of Police, K. E. Baiju.

The movie’s director and producer were summoned before the investigating officer after the Supreme Court of India hearing on Thursday. They were granted anticipatory bail. The Supreme Court’s division bench, consisting of Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, Justice J.B. Padiwala, and Justice P.S. Narasimha, said that on February 12 and 13, the petitioner should appear before the investigating officer. If they get arrested, they should be released on bail. The case was lodged by Kerala’s music band Thaikoodam Bridge that the song used in the movie was made by them and the makers didn’t give them credit.

The band complained that the makers plagiarised their song Navarasam and made it Varaha Roopam. But the music director, B. Ajaneesh, denied the allegations, stating that the similarities were due to the same melody used in the songs.
