Throwball Court Measurements In Meters, Rules, Points
Throwball Rules and Guidelines
Team Composition and Game Duration:
Among the most popular team sports are throwball, which consists of twelve players each side: seven players will be on the playing court and five others will be reserve players.
The matches are played in a best of three sets, each going up to 25 points through rally scoring.
Gameplay Rules:
Players must catch the ball with both hands and throw it back using only one hand.
The serve must originate from above the shoulder or shoulder line.
The service ball must not touch the net during play.
Players cannot use a double touch to receive the serve.
The serve must be executed within 5 seconds after the referee’s whistle and from the service zone without crossing the end line.
If the ball lands on the box line or in the dead zone, it is considered a foul.
Players must release the ball within 3 seconds after catching it during a rally.
At the time of serving, players should maintain a 2-3-2 position on the court.
Shifting the ball from one hand to the other is prohibited and will result in a penalty.
A player cannot jump while serving the ball.
Court Specifications:
The standard size of a court is 12.2 m by 18.3 m and has a neutral zone of 1 m on either side of the net. The net is attached to poles at a height of 2.2 m.

During rallies, the ball must be caught cleanly without any noise or movement (dubs) and with the player maintaining contact with the ground.
Players may jump while throwing the ball, and the ball is allowed to touch the net (excluding the antenna).
The ball should only touch the palm and must not come into contact with any other part of the body (body touch).
Shifting or pushing the ball is not allowed.

Each team is allowed a maximum of five substitutions per set.
Two time-outs of 30 seconds each are permitted per set.
General Rules for Winning:
The first team to score 25 points wins a set.
The match is decided in a best-of-three format, requiring a team to win two sets to claim victory.
