 Pondicherry now known as Puducherry is the capital and the most populous city of the union territory of Puducherry in India. The city is in the Puducherry district on the southeast coast of India and is surrounded by the state of Tamil Nadu , with which it shares most of its culture, heritage and language.

Pondicherry is a tourist destination . The city has many colonial buildings ,churches, temples and statues.

1) Paradise Beach- Paradise Beach or Plage Paradiso as it is known, is a popular tourist destination of Chunnambar. This Pondicherry got its name because of the peaceful experience it offers to its visitors. To access this beach u need to take a boat ride from the town of Pondicherry. 2)Sri Aurobindo ashram
It is one of the most peaceful and spiritual  tourist place of  Pondicherry is well known all over the world. It was founded by Sri Aurobindo in 1926. The Ashram has many libraries. It also host many physical educational activities such as sports, asans, swimming etc.

At the centre of the Ashram there is the Samadhi of Sri Aurobindo under a frangipani  tree .

3)Arikamedu- Arikamedu is an archaeological site in Southern India,in Kakkayanthope, Ariyankuppam Commune, Puducherry. It was built in 19th century and is surrounded with Roman lamps,stone beads, glassware and several other things and it is one of less explored places of Pondicherry.
