Aslam Inamdar was born on 23rd February 2000 in Taklibhan village, Ahmednagar district, Maharashtra. He spent his early days in poor financial condition, especially after his father Baburao Inamdar passed away in 2011. The sudden demise of the sole bread earner put his mother, Laxmibai Inamdar, in great distress, and she had to begin working as a domestic worker to bring up her children.

For his family's livelihood, Aslam was an odd jobber, among which he also worked at a tea stall washing glasses. Despite all these hardships, he was devoted to his education and his passion for kabaddi. His elder brother, Wasim Inamdar, was a gardener and was responsible for Aslam's education. Wasim himself was a kabaddi player, and hence Aslam's participation in the game too was inspired.

Aslam began kabaddi at the local level, where his potential was soon revealed. His fierce style of play and perseverance saw him climb the rungs, earning him a place to compete at the state level.
