Rivalry among stars is not uncommon. While some stars don't mess with each others careers despite their rivalry, several others go to extreme lengths to destory their rivals. The rivalry between two star kid superstars is among the fiercest in Bollywood. A female superstar & studio boss mentor have been attacking another star kid superstar for years now, but she manages to survive every time. It started several years back when the female superstar who is now married to a A-list male superstar entered the industry & prided herself for her 100cr+ grossers. But the other female superstar - daughter of a yesteryear villain, delivered several 100cr+ grossers herself & became her closest competitor. This made the superstar jealous. They both attacked each other via their PR teams. The female superstar's mentor & studio boss ensured that she got the best roles. He even used to go through every script she was offered & snatched projects from others. They even propped up another actress to dent the other female superstar's popularity. The female superstar - the villain's daughter started getting lesser offer owing to the studio boss's clout, but luck favored her. She delivered a hit in the action genre opposite her school friend & then followed it up with a blockbuster success in the horror-comedy genre. To add insult to injury, villain's superstar daughter had an affair with the other female superstar's BF while they were shooting for a movie. All efforts to destroy the villain's daughter's career since then have been in vain. The sequel to the horror-comedy turning out to be a 1000cr+ grosser gave the rival several sleepless nights.
The female superstar & her studio boss mentor are immensely hated by industry folk. They have destroyed several careers for their own benefit. While there is nothing wrong in pitching yourself to filmmakers, using your clout to snatch projects offered to outsiders gives them an unfair advantage. But these antics are the reason for the hatred against them from fans & rivals. As luck would have it, the female superstar is distancing herself from her studio boss mentor post the box office debacle of several of his projects. His box office standing has taken a huge blow over the past few years. He is not as powerful as he used to be. He acknowledges that he no longer knows the audience pulse & has hired a film reviewer to go approve projects.
