Bollywood Blind Item: Filmmaker Is Focusing On Two Outsiders
This big-shot filmmaker's reputation at the box office & industry circles has taken a huge hit over the past few years. Barring a few odd hits, his studio has been churning out one box office turkey after another. His obsession with casting nepo kids is majorly to blame. He has literally taken upon himself to provide gainful employment to all nepo kids in Bollywood, but with his reputation & financials taking a beating, he has decided to course correct. As per a source, the filmmaker will be working with two outsiders on multiple projects in the near future. One outsider is a young heartthrob who is a bankable star & has spent more than a decade in the industry. Several attempts at working together in the past did not materialize. He was even banned from the studio. But now the young heartthrob might be roped in for not one but three projects bankrolled by the studio. The other outsider is a relative newbie, who gained fame recently after starring in a web series directed by a star kid. The filmmaker sees a lot of potential in him & is grooming him. He is convinced that investing in this newbie will give huge returns in the future.
The filmmaker & studio boss has gained a lot of notoriety for his obsession with launching star kids. While there is nothing wrong with casting whomever he may want in his movies, snatching projects from outsiders & giving them to star kids is where he is guilty of wrongdoing. He is particularly guilty of snatching projects from actresses & gifting them to his favorite actress. While the actress is indeed talented, the filmmaker has made several actresses lose plum projects. Many actors have complained about being completely sidelined at award shows & events by him in favor of star kids. Sadly, there is no law that prohibits him from continuing with these practices. Outsiders have no option but to grin & bear it.
