When Rani Mukerji Asked Kajol Why She Doesn't Like Her!

Rani Mukerji and Kajol, two very well-known and loved names during the '90s and even today, are second cousins by relation. If we take a look at their family tree for more clarity regarding their relation, Kajol's parents are Shomu Mukerji and Tanuja Mukerji, whereas Rani's parents are Krishna Mukerji and Ram Mukerji. Shomu Mukerji and Ram Mukerji are first cousins, which makes their daughters second cousins. But interestingly, despite being cousins, the two actresses did not have good terms with each other until recently.

Fans and media have always speculated that the two actresses have had a cold war going on between them for the longest of times. Although, both the actresses have always denied any such claims, their actions have always been contradictory to this. People got assurity regarding their cold war when Bollywood director and producer Karan Johar invited the two sisters on his talk show, Koffee With Karan, in the year 2007.

During this show, Rani was asked by Karan what she would ask Kajol if she had been a journalist. To this, Rani instantly replied that she would ask Kajol why she does not like her as much as Rani does! Apart from this, there were other instances during the show which clearly showed the rivalry between the two sisters. When asked whether she would like to do any of Rani's film roles, Kajol did not take a second to say "None!". All of this came out as a real shock for the audience since the two actresses had always claimed that they were on good terms. 

While Kajol was not even invited to Rani Mukerji's wedding in 2014, currently, things seem to be normal between the two. They are often seen hanging out with each other, especially during family functions or festivals. We are glad the two sisters patched things up, and we hope to see more of them, together!
