Yearender 2022: Songs that ruled our hearts, from Kesariya to Kya Baat Haii 2.0
As we approach the end of the year 2022, the time has come to take a closer look at some of the super hit songs that have made the world dance to their tune. Several Bollywood tracks were alive throughout the year, from party anthems to spreading the magic of romance. Many songs set the internet ablaze by creating an incomparable craze among users, whether by making us learn its lyrics by heart or by forcing millions to give a whirl to the viral trend. Many tracks made waves while reviving some old songs and giving the world an unforgettable remix, and the nation became addicted to the same.
As we prepare to bid farewell to 2022, we have compiled a list of some Bollywood songs that have gone viral:
Kesariya
With over 357 million views, Brahmastra's Kesariya became the year's romantic anthem. Kesariya, a thunderous hit among lovers, in the voice of Arijit Singh, the country's singing sensation, set the internet ablaze with his voice. Songs like Hawayein, Raabta, Kalank, and Khairiyat demonstrate what a lethal combination Arijit Singh and Pritam Chakraborty are. Kesariya has also been added to the list.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (Title track)
The title track of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 compelled everyone to get up from their seats by combining modernity and nostalgia. While Anees Bazmee's directorial is credited with keeping Bollywood alive, its title track went viral. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2's title track has so far garnered more than 232 million views on YouTube, making it the party anthem of the year.
Doobey
While Gehraiyaan, one of the year's most anticipated films, failed to impress the audience, its track Doobey was a huge success on the internet. To be honest, its deep lyrics and instrumental music will transport you to another world. So far, the smash hit song has been played over 86 million times, and we've all lost count of how many reels and edits have been shared on social media.
Rangisari
Rangisari mesmerised listeners like never before by reviving the folk song and turning it into an addictive party number. Rangisari, from Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani's Juggjugg Jeeyo, has been viewed over 85 million times, and we can't get enough of their on-screen chemistry. Furthermore, Kanishk Seth and Kavita Seth's voices are truly mesmerising.
Aafat
Vijay Devarakonda's much-anticipated Bollywood debut did not wow audiences as much as expected. Liger's songs, on the other hand, truly hold the crown for being among the most euphoric tracks of the years. And to say Tanishk Bagchi's Aafat is an enthralling track is an understatement, as it raises the temperature like nothing else. Vijay and Ananya Panday have a spellbinding chemistry in Aafat, which has received over 61 million views.
Kya Baat Haii 2.0
Despite being released only a week ago, Govinda Naam Mera's Kya Baat Haii 2.0 is the mood-setter of the year. Despite the fact that it is a remake, Kya Baat Haii 2.0 has already surpassed 50 million viewers. We can't stay calm, though, because Bollywood's Punjabi munda Vicky Kaushal channelled his hottest avatar in the song and forced everyone to shake their legs. Making him share screen time with Kiara Advani, on the other hand, was a brilliant idea that truly raised the stakes.
Jaan Meri Jaan
Another year, another romantic addiction for lovers. Meri Jaan is a funky but passionate love song from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai. Meri Jaan, which stars Alia Bhatt and Shantanu Maheshwari, has a sense of innocence thanks to SLB's composition and Neeti Mohan's captivating voice. The song has been played over 26 million times so far.
