Netflix has been one of the favourite OTT platforms of the country. It has a vast range of content in different languages. So this makes it difficult for the viewer to select from the range. Today, we will be talking about some must watch indian series on Netflix

1. She

This is a Imtiaz Ali series which shows the various explotations on women like seeing female sexuality through the male gaze, stereotyping women, trivialising the child abuse trope, reinforcing a dated perspective about women, peddling sleaze. It has been panned by the critics but I loved the series. The transformation of the lead from a under confident girl to a female coming with grips of sexuality. There's a lot of spice and drama in the story.

2. Bombay Begums

The narrator tells powerful stories of everyday women in this series. The story revolves around the lives of five women to struggle hard to make to this world built with patriarchy and misogyny. The cast includes Pooja Bhatt, Amruta Subhash, Shahana Goswami, Plabita Borthakur, Aadhya Anand, Vivek Gomber, Dan Husain. They have given an amazing performance.

3. Taj Mahal 1989

It is a nice and diffrent take on relationships and poetry, youth and politics and the many love mysteries in Lucknow in 1989. The time is recreated with great localism and fluidity. The story is relatable which makes it even more interesting. It shows the story of a philosophy topper who chooses to become a tailor and falls in love with a prostitute.

4. Little Things

You can binge watch through this series anytime. The leads gave an amazing performance on this intelligent script. The story is relatable for couples and you will also see a lot conversations on gender equality. The series is smooth with no intense thoughts.

5. Sacred Games

The series is so rooted in the Indian idiom — colloquial, raw, uninhibited and overwhelming — that it rings a bell of familiar disgust and delight. The ethos it captures mirrors abuse and depravity. You begin to wonder and look for a redeeming quality.
