Dhurandhar is an Indian Hindi-language spy-action thriller written, directed and co-produced by Aditya Dhar. The film is backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, with Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar serving as producers. Featuring a large ensemble cast led by Ranveer Singh, the movie combines espionage, political intrigue, high-stakes action and emotional drama.
The story draws inspiration from real-world intelligence operations and events connected with India’s national security. The film was scheduled to arrive in theatres on 5 December 2025.
Story and Plot

The narrative revolves around major events in Indian history, including the 1999 IC-814 hijacking and the 2001 Parliament attack. At the centre of the operation is Ajay Sanyal, the head of India’s Intelligence Bureau, who develops a covert strategy to infiltrate a dangerous terrorist network operating in Pakistan.
To execute the mission, Sanyal turns to an unexpected recruit—a 20-year-old man from Punjab who is serving time in prison after committing a crime motivated by revenge. Recognising the young man’s abilities and determination, Sanyal trains him for an undercover assignment. His mission takes him deep into Karachi’s criminal and extremist networks, where maintaining his identity becomes essential to the success of the operation.
