Real Reason Why Shahid Kapoor & Kareena Kapoor Broke Up

It goes without saying that when we watched Geet and Aditya's chemistry in Jab We Met, we all began to create our own romantic fantasies around the plotline. The wonderful acting of Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor made us believe that they had a real-life connection. In fact, the couple had a five-year long relationship, during which they appeared in films such as Milenge Milenge, 36 China Town, Chup Chup Ke, and Jab We Met. Unfortunately, the couple broke up in 2006 and the beautiful love story came to an end.

Their first film, Fida, was not well received by the audience due to their chemistry, but they went on to have success in other movies such as 36 China Town, Milenge Milenge and Chup Chup Ke.

During their romantic period, the couple starred in multiple movies and provided their supporters with many inspiring couple goals. Initially, Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor were seen in 'Fida', but their characters were enemies. Audiences were not content with their romance. Later on, the duo was featured together in '36 China Town', 'Milenge Milenge', and 'Chup Chup Ke'. Supposedly, the trigger for Kareena and Shahid's split was Kareena's mother Babita and sister Karishma.

The two advised Kareena to end her relationship with Shahid. Despite her strong feelings for Shahid, Kareena still asked producers to cast him alongside her. Unfortunately, Babita was not a fan of her daughter's intense fixation on Shahid and viewed it as a lack of professionalism.

After ending her relationship with Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor eventually found her true love in Saif Ali Khan and they eventually got married, while Shahid found his perfect match in Mira Rajput.
