Sushmita Sen, who had given up on the world of movies and entertainment to be a hands-on mother, returned to show business with her OTT debut in and as Aarya. She's currently back with her second OTT release Taali, in which she plays a trans woman, after gaining a lot of appreciation for that role.

While drawing parallels between herself and Shree Shree Gauri Sawant, Sen revealed that, like everyone else, she had her own set of challenges to conquer.

Sushmita spoke on how she believed in herself and kept pushing forward, from recuperating from a heart attack to calling directors upon her return to work. Sen also said that she has been considering projects that would bring her back to the big screen, but she has stated that she no longer wants to play little roles. "I've wasted enough time waiting for XYZ on sets or standing behind one pole for an entire day," Sushmita remarked.

Sushmita responded, "Of course I have my insecurities and they keep changing as the day of the week," in this exclusive interview when asked how she handles them. They suddenly appear. occasionally due to conditioning or another reason. I give thanks for all that I have since there is so much to be thankful for.

Sometimes I think I've just had a heart attack when I glance in the mirror and see that I have a puffy face, small eyes, a breakout, or I otherwise don't look or feel my best. I can reflect on so many tragic events in my life and think, "How dare I say these things to myself." Then I go stand in front of the mirror and stare at myself. I tell myself constantly that I have so many gifts in life, so I don't need anyone else to do it for me.

As soon as I give God thanks, something happens. Because the strength that is born inside is so beautiful, the filter we use on Instagram just naturally appears.

Sushmita also made note of her preference for a filtered and orderly social media timeline. In order to safeguard her mental health, she blocks users who choose to comment negatively about her on her feed and deletes those comments.

Taali

The next time we'll see Sushmita Sen is in her upcoming series Taali. The series, which is helmed by Ravi Jadhav, is based on the life of transgender rights advocate Shreegauri Sawant, who is portrayed by Sushmita. The publication date coincides with Independence Day.
