4. Rao Bahadur Kandukuri Veeresalingam Pantulu

Kandukuri Veeresalingam Pantulu, who lived from 1848 to 1919, was a renowned social reformer and writer from Madras Presidency in British India. He is often referred to as the father of the renaissance in Telugu. He was an early proponent of women's education and the remarriage of widows, which was not socially accepted during his lifetime, and he also fought against the dowry system. In 1874, he founded a school in Dowlaiswaram, and in 1887, he established a temple called 'Brahmo Mandir'. In 1908, he created the 'Hithakarini School' in Andhra Pradesh. His novel Rajasekhara Charitramu is thought to be the first of its kind in Telugu literature.

5. Anant Pai 

Anant Pai, affectionately referred to as Uncle Pai, was an Indian educator and the originator of two comic book series, Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle. He was renowned for retelling traditional Indian folk tales, mythological stories, and biographies of famous figures in his comic collections.

6. Penupatruni Adinarayana Rao 

Adinarayana Rao Penupatruni (July 12, 1915 – 1991) was an Indian composer, movie producer, wordsmith and dramatist.

7. Jandhyala 

Jandhyala, who was lovingly referred to as "Haasya Brahma," was an Indian film screenwriter, director, and actor who worked in Telugu cinema for 24 years. He was honored with four Nandi Awards and a Filmfare Award for his accomplishments. He wrote dialogue for a number of award-winning films, including Sankarabharanam (1980), Saptapadi (1981), Seethakoka Chiluka (1981), Sagara Sangamam (1983), and Swathi Kiranam (1992). For Aapadbandhavudu (1992), he was awarded the Nandi Award for Best Dialogue Writer.

8. Sangita Kalanidhi Rallapalli Ananta Krishna Sharma

He was renowned for his compositions in Carnatic music, as well as being a vocalist and a wordsmith. He was an erudite in several languages such as Telugu, Sanskrit, Kannada, and Prakrit, and he had authored books and poetry in those languages.

9. Rayaprolu Subbarao

Rayaprolu Subbarao (1892–1984), popularly known as Abhinava Nannaya, was one of the founders of modern Telugu literature. In 1965, he was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award to Telugu Writers for his poetic work Misra Manjari. Subbarao was inspired by the Western literary movement and incorporated romanticism into Telugu literature, in contrast to the usual translations of Sanskrit literature. He was the first to introduce the idea of "Amalina Shringara Tatvamu" into the Telugu literary world.

10. Tenneti Hemalata

Hemalata Tenneti (15 November 1935–1997), more commonly known as Lata, was a Telugu author from Andhra Pradesh, India. She was an incredibly productive and influential writer who expressed distinct perspectives of an educated niyogi Brahmin woman. A few of her works, such as 'galipadagaloo nitibudagalu', sparked debates. She was known to be an open-minded person, but her writing was strongly rooted in tradition.
