Avatar: The Way Of Water Box Office Day 11: Excellent, as Monday collections are on par with Friday.

Avatar: The Way of Water earned 13 crores on its second Friday, which was quite excellent. Later, it went on a tear, first crossing the 20 crore mark on Saturday and then surpassing the 25 crore mark on Sunday. Well, the positive run is pretty much continuing over the weekdays as well, with Monday showing a fantastic hold and remaining along the same lines as Friday.
The film grossed an additional 13 crores*, which is remarkable given that it is just in its 11th day of screening. Despite the fact that a lot of money has already been spent, the James Cameron-directed picture is still running strong. In fact, it has mostly ignored new release Cirkus and has effectively made the Christmas season, with excellent numbers continuing to pour in.
What's more, while numbers dropped a little more than 50% on the first Monday when compared to the opening day, that's not the case at all in the second week, as the hold is incredibly solid with no fall at all. That's fantastic because it established the film well in theatres and now sets it up for a very nice continuing run.
There will be many more big days up to Sunday, and while the first Monday of the New Year will be down, Avatar: The Way Of Water will have added a lot to the 262 crores* it has already collected.
*Estimates move from blockbuster to all-time blockbuster. The final figures are awaited.
