Avinash Arun is the creator and director of the drama, mystery, and thriller series School of Lies on Disney+ Hotstar, which is available online in Hindi. The River Isaac boarding school serves as the focal point of School of Lies, which is located in the fictional location of Dalton Town. Shakti, a 12-year-old boy, goes missing, sparking a town wide search for him and revealing several other crime rings operating there. TK and Vikram, two senior students, also find themselves in the heart of the investigation because they live in Rajpath residence, the same residence as Shakti. Sam Sir is also involved because he is the House Master. And these three characters introduce us to a bigger plot involving a lot of money, deviant behavior, and a gardener named Bhola.
Vikram resolves to deal with the Bhola matter by going to see him in his cabin in the woods and killing him while all the antics with Sam and TK are going on. Yes, we are aware of the similarity between the description of Vikram's father's brain and the picture of Bhola's fractured skull. But it is difficult to figure out what it means. Is the story supposed to be about two fathers who died after being struck in the head with an object made of metal or clay and a gun, respectively? In the same cabin, there is another horrifying image of a fowl devouring a poached egg. Is the intended meaning that parents deliberately cause their children to die?
Anyway, returning to the plot, Vikram lures Namrata into the cabin, and when she sees him and Bhola together, she guesses that Bhola attacked him and that Vikram responded by becoming uncontrollably agitated. Vikram, however, confesses to Namrata that he killed Shakti in addition to Bhola while he was being treated in the hospital. The aforementioned flashbacks provide evidence for this, and we also discover that TK paid Bhola to dispose of Shakti's body. Bhola was profiting from that favor. Sam's alleged involvement with illegal relationships with kids overwhelms Namrata as she tries to explain everything to the police.
Namrata is forced to hide her thoughts on it as well because Vikram ignores Shakti and stays to the story involving Sam, TK, and him. Vikram indicates slightly that he is a killer when Trisha (Shakti's mother) confronts him in order to give her some closure. While Trisha and Pallavi undoubtedly understand it, the majority of the actors in that scene do not. As an incisive criticism of upper-class families who don't seem to bat an eye when getting kids engaged, of course informally, TK is presumably swept away into an underage marriage.
Vikram and TK are able to escape punishment at the end of School of Lies thanks to the might of their family lawyers. The showrunners intended to make a statement about how wealthy people never experience suffering, especially if they lack conscience, but they were unable to do it effectively. With the help of Chanchal, who is depicted as disturbed and residing with the religious seer after seeing his father, Bhola, dismember Shakti, they are able to demonstrate how the never-ending cycle of violence persists. And that is where the show decides to end its disjointed and haphazard trip.
Because of the way it tries to cram queerness into the mix while talking about abuse, neglect, and poor parenting, it's not sure if it has the correct intentions. Because of the current situation of education in our nation, which is a complete mess, we just sincerely hope that it doesn't foster a negative attitude towards boarding schools or schools in general. Hope that it sparks a discussion on whether or not to have children among those who are going to become parents or get married. Being well-adjusted is crucial, followed by dealing with problems and, possibly, worrying for the future of your family's bloodline.
